Samsung beats Apple

 

In the last quarter sold 37 million iPhones, up from 36.5 million the Korean

Apple has regained the lead worldwide sales of smartphones thanks to sales of its modeloiPhone 4S in the last quarter of the year. It has surpassed Samsung in half a million phones, 37 million against 36.5. In the full year, the number 1 was Samsung with 97.4 million smartphones sold compared to 93 million and Apple 77.3 of Nokia. By market share, the Korean company finished the year with a 19.9 %, followed by Apple (19%) and Nokia (15.8%), according to data from Strategy Analytics. Samsung was the largest seller in the third quarter of 2011, though its data are always from outside sources and the company does not provides mobile phone sales figures since 2010 for reasons of “competitive.”
