The Rencontres d’Arles, arguably the most renowned international photography festival, have this year’s theme as No / No certified. But beyond the cryptic language, the event opened this week in the French town has as its protagonists to Mexico, photojournalism and the Internet. The 42nd edition of the festival, open until September 18, has managed to overcome the disagreements diplomats around the ill-fated year of Mexico to France and show the strength of Mexican photography by Graciela Iturbide, the photojournalist Enrique Metinides, Maya Goded , Dulce Pinzon, Daniela Rossell, Iñaki Bonillas and Fernando Montiel Klint.
