Russell Brand and Katy Perry are divorcing

The comedian argues “irreconcilable differences”

One year and two months we love has gone to the American singer Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand. Brand this afternoon announced it had filed for divorce in a court in Los Angeles, California asking for a divorce.

The couple has held separate Christmas. While it has been able to see Perry alone on the beaches of Hawaii, Brand has spent the holidays in Cornwall, southwest England, with his family.

The website TMZ has obtained access to the divorce of Brand. Here the actor says that the separation has taken place for “irreconcilable differences”. As explained some relatives of the couple to U.S. media, they were both increasingly frequent fights.

The couple met in 2008 and married in October 2010 in a ceremony in India. Both commented on more than one occasion they spent long periods apart, so the divorce rumors were constant. However, the interpreter of I Kissed a Girl explained a few weeks ago that he would take a year off to have children.
